Week's Worth of Outfits

Again, so sorry I forgot. School has been piling homework on us this first week. I mean, come on, cut us a break. But you don't want to hear about my school life, do you? Let's move on:

Monday:

Start with this J.Crew Cecelia Cami. I think it is so cute! I love the paisley print and the straps. The colors are great, too, absolutely perfect for fall.

Put this GORGEOUS Vince leather car coat on over it, from ShopBop. I am in love with this jacket- it's so sophisticated and chic, perfectly dressing up a pair of jeans, yet it can still work for day.

I would pair these with the Vince Cotton Twill Belted Pant, also at ShopBop. These are easy and casual, but very cute and effortless cool.

Lastly, add the J.Crew Lucia Suede Ballet Flats. This is a gorgeous color and the bow is so cute.

Tuesday:

Today's outfit is my take on what I like to call feminine menswear. I know, totally original, right? But anyway, it incorporates feminine colors, like the bright purple vest, with a masculine silhouette.

Start with the Lux Jersey Scoop Neck from Urban Outfitters. I've posted this or a variation of this shirt in the WWOO all the time. But everyone needs one- it's an amazing basic layering piece.

Then put on this adorable purple Topshop Military Waistcoat. This is what I think adds the feminine touch, the color is so cute and girly.

From the waist down, try these True Religion Sammy Shorts from ShopBop. I usually don't like anything denim except regular jeans, but these were just too cute to resist.

Finish with the new "it" shoe, the oxford, this one from Urban Outfitters. The website actually calls it a jazz shoe, but they look like oxfords, so whatEVER.

Wednesday:

This outfit is the minimal-chic look, which I love. There is a difference between minimal and boring, so look out.

Begin with this adorable Topshop Stripe Pinafore Dress. I absolutely love this!

Layer on this slouchy C&C California Jolie Cashmere Cardigan from ShopBop. I love this long length, I would wear this all the time. I'm obsessed with cardigans, as you may have noticed in like, all of my posts. =]

Finish your look with a pair of these richly colored navy suede Fleur de Lis Jeweled Ballet Flats from J.Crew. I love the color and the embellishment on the toe.

Thursday:

Thursday's outfit is very casual, but still cute and cool.

The L.A.M.B. Stripe Cardigan is ADORABLE. I love the tight fit and yellow and black stripes.

Under the cardigan, try the basic Urban Outfitters tee.I like this V-neck- it's totally versatile and wonderful for layering.

These Stephenson Harvey Wide Leg Jeans from ShopBop are great. The wide-leg trend this season can be overwhelming for your body type, but these are the perfect width, not too huge. I, unfortunately, cannot wear the wide leg jean trend because I am sooo short (5'0), and that just makes me look shorter.

The Suede Color Block Ballet from Urban Outfitters are so cute- I love the black and grey combination- color block shoes are very in this season.

Friday:

SCHOOL OUTFIT:

This outfit is full of bright colors, which I love. The colors are rich and pretty, very feminine.

The Silk Simple Tunic from Topshop has a fabulous cobalt blue color, and the shape is very relaxed and casual.

Put on the J.Crew New Dream Ribbon Trim Cardigan next. I love the pairing of the deep purple with the cobalt blue- daring, but still very wearable.

To accessorize, the Mondrian Bangle from Urban Outfitters is perfect.

For your shoes, try a simple black boot to let your outfit really stand out. I like the Juicy Couture Cardiff Flat Boot.

NIGHT OUTFIT:

The Lux Stephanie Dress from Urban Outfitters is so pretty. I love the blush pink color and the soft drapes, it is young but still elegant.

I've really been getting into Loeffler Randall lately, the shoes are simple with a unique touch, like these Addy Ruffle Flats. Try them with your dress to add a fun twist.

For your jewelry, try something simple and fun, like this Kenneth Jay Lane Thin Pearl Bangle. Stack a lot of these bangles for a more eclectic look.

Saturday:

DAY OUTFIT:

This outfit is really chic, but easy to wear and pull off. Start with this grey Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent dress from ShopBop.

Add this J.Crew Cashmere Schoolgirl Cardigan. I love the purple and grey combination.

I also like it in pink-

For your shoes, try these burgundy Marc by Marc Jacobs Two Buckle flats.

NIGHT OUTFIT:

This Theory Judy Anne dress is absolutely gorgeous. I love the metallic t-shirt dress- a casual shape in glamorous fabric. It's the prettiest color, too.

Add a pop of color with the Kenneth Jay Lane Hinged Enamel Bracelet.

And lastly, for your shoes, go with the Juicy Couture Jules Patent Pump. These are sophisticated, but with a youthful twist.

Sunday:

This outfit is a fabulous mix of casual-meets-glamour, which I adore. Start with this Alexander Wang t-shirt dress. This is a very simple shape, but the gold grommets glam it up and make it so cool.

Some red flats are perfect to finish the look. The Kate Spade 'Peggy' Flat from Nordstrom are great. I love the frayed bow at the top.

I can't promise that the Week's Worth of Outfits will be very consistent these next couple of weeks, I'm trying to be really focused at school. But I will try to do it as much as possible.

School.

Ugh. I started school today, and I have a feeling I'm going to be quite busy. I don't know if I can do a post very soon, and I am SO SORRY about the Week's Worth of Outfits. I completely forgot. My posting habits are going to be pretty bad this week. So....sorry.

Rag & Bone Fall 2007 RTW

I just now started to notice Rag & Bone, after I put that jacket from them in my WWOO. When I looked at their latest runway show, I was blown away. They manage to make simple outfits incredibly cute and unique with a blend of masculine and rocker with a feminine edge. If you're looking for fantastic menswear-inspired clothes, Rag & Bone is perfect. Their show was all black, gray, and white, with touches of olive and dark green. The clothes are all incredibly wearable, too. You could walk straight off the runway onto the street. Check out some of my favorite looks from their Fall 2007 RTW collection:

I love the high waisted pleated skirt paired with the tailored blazer. This is a fresh new take on the work suit- it's so sophisticated, but still so feminine. And would you check out those FABULOUS boots?

This olive green and black dress with the belted black blazer over it looks so sharp, but has a slight slouchy edge.

I love this slouchy olive green cardigan. Belting it shows your shape and doesn't let it disguise your figure. The blouse under it is so pretty, a nice contrast to the masculinity of the cardigan and pants.

These white buttons really pop against the olive green. I adore this trench, it's modern and hip, without being too trendy.

Another really sharp and modern look. I love the slight sheen on the trench.

The grunge look is coming back in style, with tons of layering of black, gray, and white. I love all of these layers.

This is subtle menswear chic, and I love it.

I LOVE the cropped peacoat paired with the gray Bermudas and knee high boots.

The white blouse under the simple black dress is really classic. This dress looks so chic and easy to wear.

I am really into the coat-dress this fall season, the black ribbon empire waist detailing is a nice subtle touch.

This is so rocker, but wearable, too.

I adore this gray blazer with the black piping.

The leggings are gross, but the dress is so floaty and breezy, I love it.

Little Miss Sunshine

Yellow is a huge fall color. It's bright and fun, perfect for those days when you just want to feel happy. Yellow is huge on the catwalk as well, present on the runways of:

Christian Dior Resort-

Gucci Resort-

Doo.Ri-

(for a look-for-less of this, check out my previous post- this was featured.)

Chanel-

and Gucci-

Think you can't pull off yellow? Think again. If you don't want to go full-on yellow dress, top, or skirt, try subtly incorporating the trend into your wardrobe, with some accessories like belts, handbags, and headbands.

Subtle Yellow-

Elegantly Waisted Cummerbund Belt at shopbop.com

I love this belt because you can add it to any boring black outfit and it instantly looks pulled together and exciting. The color is vibrant and gorgeous, love it all!

J.Crew Tabloid Tote at jcrew.com

This is a perfect bag for jazzing up your basic jeans-and-tee outfit, shopping, or a book bag.

Carolina Amato Gloves at eluxury.com

Gloves are really making a comeback- these ones are chic and elegant. For a sophisticated work look, pair it with a blousy black top and a black pencil skirt. The gloves will pop against the black and look so cool.

Michael Kors Sutton Patent Clutch at saks.com

This clutch is absolutely gorgeous, I love the oversized gold buckle. This looks great with anything you pair it with.

Rachel Leigh Skinny Mini Resin Bangle at shopbop.com

Bangles are also a great way to jazz up an outfit- stack them or wear one alone. They always look great and add a unique touch to your outfit.

Think you can pull off yellow? It's not that hard! Try these pieces-

Alice + Olivia Pleated Baby Doll Dress at shopbop.com

This is a perfect dress to throw on and still look adorable. It's casual and chic, and the color adds something else to the otherwise simple shape.

Burberry Cotton Voile Camisole at net-a-porter.com

Another casual and chic look. This camisole looks great paired with white shorts like the mannequin is wearing. The combination of yellow and white is becoming more and more popular, and looks so fresh and cute.

Diane von Furstenburg Angea Dress at dianevonfurstenburg.com

This dress is youthful and fun, a very relaxed, easy look.

Diane von Furstenburg Burano Rose Shirt Cover Up at saks.com

I love this for it's fresh, girly print and the fact that it can be a chic shirt-dress or a high-fashion swimsuit coverup.

Fendi Silk Shift Top at net-a-porter.com

This saffron yellow color is AMAZING. I love the big front pleat and the gathering along the neckline. This is a perfect top to pair with your skirts, skinny or wide-legged pants, or jeans, it's so versatile.

J.Crew Classic Peacoat at jcrew.com

Just as the name suggests, this is a classic peacoat that can work with all your pants and jeans this fall. Use it as a layering piece this season, and you will be utterly chic.

J.Crew Pencil Stripe Cardigan at jcrew.com

I know I put this in a past Weeks Worth of Outfits, but I just love it! It's so cute and can work with anything.

Julie Haus Luau Dress at shopbop.com

I love this high neckline, simple silhouette, and flared skirt. The pale yellow color is very wearable, too, and you can easily incorporate it into your school wardrobe.

Karta Short Sleeve Blouse at shopbop.com

This print is so cool, and look at that collar! When you wear this amazing top, get ready for tons of compliments. I would compliment anyone who wore this.

Karta Strap Dress at shopbop.com

I love the beading detail on the bust, and the pleats are gorgeous. I love this dress paired with the black tights.

Topshop Check Swing Jacket at topshop.com

Hmm...I'm not sure if I love this or hate it....I think I hate it.

Tufi Duek Silk Satin Dress at nordstrom.com

This rich yellow is gorgeous and will definitely get you some attention at any party.

YA-YA Printed Silk Halter Top at saks.com

This sleek halter looks great with a pair of dark jeans or pants.

Christian Louboutin Slingback Wedge at barneys.com

These are adorable, and so summery. I love the raffia wedge pared with the yellow patent (at least it looks like patent).

Tory Burch Quinn Ballet Flats at saks.com

Instead of the typical Reva, try these bright quilted Quinn ballet flats. They brighten up any outfit and look great with skirts, pants, or jeans.

Hope this post inspired you to add some saffron to your soup of clothes. (Wow...that was incredibly stupid.)
