thoughts
I've been meaning to do a post about these for an extremely long time but I never got around to it. These tights from American Apparel...hmm.
The black and white ones are the least crazy and could look incredibly cool when paired with the right things. If you want to make black and white unique, here you go. I don't think I could pull it off, though!
It slowly increases craziness with these electric blue and black ones.
and BAM!
Yellow and coral. I worship whoever can rock these babies.
What do you think? Would you ever wear these?

Baby Steps and Other Purchases
I don't think I'm ready to go full-on gladiator sandal yet, but I am definitely admiring from afar. To fill the void, I recently bought this fabulous pair of Bernardo sandals.
And I'm wearing them with absolutely everything. The weather is already starting to feel like summer here, so I've been wearing little summer dresses and I love it. They have a bit of a gladiator feeling, but aren't really strappy like the other ones. Hopefully I can work up the courage to buy an actual pair, because I think they're fantastic...
I also bought a white, really light summery cardigan from Madewell. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's J.Crew's sister store and I am in love with it. It has all of your basics stepped up with colors and patterns in such great materials. I highly suggest it. I found what is destined to be my summer staple in a pair of dark denim shorts at American Eagle. I don't visit it very often, but WOW. I love them already. I wasn't a big fan of denim shorts before, but now...I adore them.
They are so clean looking and I love the dark color.
Have you guys been getting ready for summer? Do tell..

Rage
It's swimsuit time again.
*pause*
Yippee.
Well, I'm starting to get really frustrated because swimsuits have begun to sell in TWO PARTS. IT MAKES NO SENSE. Okay, and I understand that the companies want to "help women's bodies", but I swear, I want to buy a swimsuit as a whole. I don't want to buy just the top, or just the bottom, or the two combined to make a ridiculously high price for a freaking swimsuit. These companies are seizing this opportunity to make more money. For example, this one from Urban Outfitters:
The top is $42. The bottom is $38. Together, they make a grand total of $80.
NO. I refuse to pay that much for a swimsuit. But I love the swimsuit. What to do?
This one:
I love polka dots. Always have, always will. So this is just adorable. Unfortunately, they too have jumped on the selling-bathing-suits-as-two-pieces bandwagon.
Top: $38. Bottom: $40. That's $78 for a swimsuit that will be destroyed by the end of summer.
This adorable one from Roxy:
The top is $36.
The bottoms are also $36.
SEVENTY TWO DOLLARS. This is my favorite swimsuit, I just saw it in Seventeen and I immediately loved it. But again, I hate paying so much for a swimsuit. Mine are always ruined at the end.
More unreasonably priced separate swimsuits that I love but will not buy.
Anyone else agree with me? Who understands this new trend....?
