Revamped: Lisa Kline

Lisa Kline is one of L.A.'s many fabulous shopping meccas, and when I heard that they redid their website, I was thrilled. Lisa Kline has young, hip, and always fashion-forward clothes that A-list celebrities covet. The new website is completely redone- complete with live chat from Lisa Kline stylists, high fashion lookbooks, wish lists, even a "fashion radar", which alerts you whenever new items from your favorite designers are added to the website. One of the new features I am most excited about is the live stylist chat. You can ask the stylist anything- trends, new items that have arrived, or fashion advice when you need the perfect outfit. I picked out my favorites from the new Lisa Kline website, and I discovered amazing up-and-coming designers, like Diane Samandi, Lily McNeal, and Hera. Gorgeous...



This Karen Zambos tuxedo-style dress is adorable. I love how the otherwise simple little black dress is revamped with the gold ruffle.



I love this black and silver sequin Foley & Corinna dress- it's perfect for a party and you will definitely be the best dressed one there!



This Diane Samandi dress is so sweet- the lace overlay is gorgeous over the simple white.



I have been curious about Hat Attack ever since I saw a hat from them in the latest Elle. This knit cloche hat has that perfect 20's look, but the metallic thread adds a modern touch.



This Hera dress is so pretty. Tulle layers are instantly chic and look so delicate and feminine. The contrasting black bow is a beautiful touch too.



You all know I'm a sucker for cardigans, and this Lily McNeal one is so versatile and looks so comfy.



Love this deep blue Mint dress- I love the vintage-inspired neckline and the simple silhouette. This can work for day and night, depending on what you wear it with.



Paul & Joe is known for their Parisian-chic clothing, and this white paillette dress is no exception.



Four words- Rebecca. Taylor. Beaded. Cardigan.
One more- ADORABLE.



I adore Rich & Skinny's bright, bold colored jeans. This burgundy color is subtle but you can still make a statement.



I love how the stylists paired gold necklaces with this gorgeous Rory Beca top- the colors go great together.



Splendid= love.



I am obsessed with this long Twelfth Street cardigan- elegant and sophisticated.

Froydis- I know, it's so gorgeous! Ugh...it is sold out. Not cool. There's many other alternatives though, not to worry! Here's the original bag...



I found a few options, all pretty similar to this one. Take a look:


This bag from Urban Outfitters is a lot darker, but it's still really chic and pretty similar to the Topshop one.



Eh...maybe? Also from Urban Outfitters.



This Botkier looks the most like the Topshop one, and it's also my favorite.




This MICHAEL Michael Kors satchel is really structured and not as casual as the Topshop, but it's a pretty good match.

Carla--

The key here is good colors. Sweats aren't ideal 'going out' clothes, so you have to make something about your outfit glam. Navy is a great color "matcher", which is good.



Here's some navy Juicy sweats, our base for this outfit. Some colors that would go good with these pants are purple, gray, gold/silver, etc.



I thought a long time on this, searched on some websites, and found this great Marc by Marc Jacobs cardigan. These are matching colors, but subtly.



Under the cardigan, try this simple heather gray J.Crew tee.



And finish with the gorgeous Twinkle flats from J.Crew.

Can't Think of a Good Title

The holidays are almost here (well...the decorations are up)! What comes to your head when I say 'holiday fashion'? Probably the dreaded Christmas sweater and Santa hat. Let's try to change that, shall we? Holidays can also mean very stylish and chic parties, with dresses to match. ShopBop is party dress heaven, so I sifted through all 115 pages of ShopBop's dress section (I love you THAT much) and found the best holiday party dresses. The holiday dresses are always sleek and glamorous, with subtle embellishment and clean lines. Sequins are always fabulous to make a splash as well. The color palette is mostly quite subtle, mostly whites, blacks, or metallics, but a burst of rich color like hot pink or purple is also very common. Any of these options and your dress is sure to be the best at the party.

**NOTE: all of these dresses look FABULOUS with black tights**



This adampluseve dress is pure glamour. The slight sequin embellishment, only at the hem and top, is so youthful meets sophisticated, and the middle part is sleek and chic.



Another fabulous adampluseve number. This is simple and modern, the straps looped through the top is genius and looks so clean. This metallic-y blue color is so pretty.



This Alice + Olivia is so gorgeous- simple but still making a huge impression. You can throw a black cardigan over this to keep warm and still look great.



Catherine Malandrino dresses are party perfection. This purple dress is reminiscent of a modern Grecian goddess, with the detailing at the neckline and waist. The ruching is beautiful, too.



I just found out about this line Dallin Chase, but the dresses are perfect for any party. This one is elegant and simple. I love the subtle drapes at the bottom. The soft drapes or ruffles are a trend to look for with the holiday dresses.



This Samantha Treacy dress is GORGEOUS. The neckline, the ruffled hem, it's so chic. The metallic navy color is so rich and really stands out among basic black and gray.



I tried this Alice + Olivia dress on about a month ago, it is amazing. It has tiny metallic thread sewn into it, so you have a subtle shimmer. This dress is so sophisticated but still really fun.



I adore this Cynthia Rowley number- the color is great. This is an unexpected, but totally gorgeous, choice for a holiday party. It's mod and 60's inspired, I love it's simplicity.



More fabulous Alice + Olivia! This dress is reminiscent of a modern flapper, with the sequin ribbon banding all the way through. So glamorous...



I love this Foley + Corinna dress. It's loose and comfortable, while still retaining the glamour and chic statement.



Diane von Furstenberg- the root of all fabulous party dresses. The color is great, the sort of metallic silver meets a bit of beige. The ruching detailing on the bodice is absolutely beautiful, and I love the slight balloon hem of the skirt.



A pretty and simple sequin tank dress by Graham & Spencer, a sleek and streamlined option for a holiday party.



This Dallin Chase dress has such intricate detailing- the satin, chiffon, silk, and tulle chevron banding is fabulous and feminine, while the sheer sleeves add a provocative touch.



The flower and ruffle neckline on this beautifully detailed Hanii Y dress makes it incredibly unique.



This slim, fitted sequined t-shirt dress by Miss Davenporte gives the illusion of molten sequins, it's so gorgeous, and the color cannot be beat.

Okay, up until now, it's basically all been metallics/sequins, which is the most common for holiday party dresses, but these colorful or detailed dresses make a big splash and are completely gorgeous.


Julie Haus is a great up-and-coming designer, and this simple and chic dress showcases her talent. I love the ruffled hem and pleated front.



I love when a dress is completely simple with one significant detail, like this ruffled neckline on this Laila Azhar dress.



Another beautiful Laila Azhar dress- layered, strapless, turquoise...my kind of thing.



I love the graphic neckline on this Milly dress.



Simple. Chic. Of course it's Mint.
Oh my gosh, I sound like the ShopBop descriptions. What has come over me?



This Sea dress could be one of my favorites on here. Sequins and satin are both such glamorous fabrics, and together they are one show-stopping dress. It's conservative, but still sensual.



I love the color and sequin trim on this Sunner dress.



This Susana Monaco dress has gorgeous draping, one of my favorite details on dresses for any occasion.



This Tibi dress has a fabulous metallic print that's bold and attention-grabbing.

Those Brits get all the luck...

Why can't I live in England? Why? I need a little bit of Topshop in my life, especially after seeing the new items that just arrived on their website. Topshop has really stepped up their game, and I couldn't see how they could be any better! All these pieces are much more sophisticated and unique than they have been. I love it ALL.



This green jacket is amazing- I love the button detailing and the Peter Pan collar. This shade of green might not work on a lot of people, but it's still gorgeous.



I love this! Orange + ruffles= the kind of top that I absolutely adore. This is a perfect blend of edgy and feminine.



This gray leather bag is gorgeous.



This knit short sleeved sweater is a perfect layering piece to make your basic tee and jeans look more interesting. I love this layered over a brightly colored long sleeved top.



I am in love with these flats. The jeweled detailing at the top, the unexpected but fabulous combination of gold and powder blue, it's all amazing and I WANT THEM.



More great Topshop footwear- these brown boots feel so Serena van der Woodsen to me, no?



Mixing menswear vests with a feminine fabric like this satin has a fabulous end result. This steps up your jeans even if you only wear it with a PWT.



This cream colored ruffled dress is an ideal party dress- the top is so unique and the skirt looks like it was made for a princess.



Okay, these Mary Janes are a bit clunky, but I still love them! They add such an adorable 60's feel to any of your outfits.



In love with this red military jacket. The gold buttons look amazing contrasted with the bright red, and the cropped shape appeals to me so much. This would look amazing with a white or navy tee and dark wide leg jeans.



This top is gorgeous- the navy silk, the stud detailing at the top, it's so pretty!



Some simple but totally essential pinstriped shorts, which look great with tights for the wintertime.



This sequin cardigan is so glamorous, and the bow adds to the effect even more.



I'm torn about this. I love the actual dress part, but the sheer sleeves and the neckline...not working for me too much. It's still really cute, though.

Please Topshop...open a store in the U.S.
