A Week's Worth of Outfits

This is another new feature I am starting- A Week's Worth of Outfits. In Seventeen, they do a Week's Worth of Makeup, so I decided to vary it a bit and do outfits instead. These outfits will be for regular school days, and on Fridays and Saturdays, a night out. (Friday will include a school day, too, of course.) These outfits were all picked with fall in mind.

MONDAY:

Start the day with a pop of color with Catherine Malandrino's Ribbon Cardigan from ShopBop. Hot pink is one of the upcoming fall's new "it color", so try wearing it often!

Under it, try a plain navy tank, like the Sparkle XL Boytank from Urban Outfitters.

For below-the-waist, go for these cute denim shorts from French Connection, the Legend Denim Short-

If it's cold where you live, just put some lightweight tights under the shorts, maybe in a dark gray.

Finish with some cute flats, like the Colin Stuart ballet flat from Victoria's Secret. I would go with the violet shade for another cute pop of color.

TUESDAY:

Start with the Sparkle Super Scoop Tee, great for layering, at Urban Outfitters-

Over that, put the Lux Cable Cardigan Sweater, also at Urban. Plum is also a great fall color-

For the bottom, put on the Citizens of Humanity Wimbledon Ava Straight Leg Jean at ShopBop-

Tuck them into Juicy Couture's Calfskin Riding Boots-

WEDNESDAY:

Begin your Wednesday look with the Charlotte polo from Abercrombie. It's bright orange color is perfect for fall and goes with a lot of skin tones.

Next, pull on the Ben Sherman Charlotte Cardigan Sweater. (Yes, they are both named Charlotte. This IS a match made in heaven!)

The next item is the Becky cream colored Bermudas from Abercrombie-

Finish the look with a burst of color at your ankles with the Steve Madden 'Cannon' Suede Flats at Nordstrom-

THURSDAY:

The Danni Tunic by C&C California is at ShopBop and is the perfect start to Thursday's outfit.

Put some gray tights or leggings under, then put on the Pencil Stripe Cardigan from J.Crew. It's yellow color is perfect against all the dark colors we have here.

Last, slip on the Charlotte Ronson Grieta Ballet Flat from ShopBop-

FRIDAY:

School Outfit-

Juicy Couture's Striped Cable Dress from ShopBop is a great sweater dress, perfect for fall.

Add black leggings/tights and the Patent Pretty Little Ballets from Urban Outfitters-

Night Outfit-

This is less glam, but still really fun for the night.

The Solid Extra Long Shift Tee from Urban Outfitters is a good start to this outfit.

Put on the Vince Cuffed Shorts with Tie from ShopBop, which goes great with the top. I love the combination of khaki and red.

Finish with the Mali sandal and the Rachel Long Pendant Necklace, both from BP Nordstrom.

SATURDAY:

Day Outfit:

Put on the Alisha Levine Holly Tunic to begin with. I love this color and the ruffled bottom.

Next, try the Honey Jean from Joe's Jeans. This is such a cool color of jeans- I love it.

For the last thing, put on the Tucker Matte Metallic Ballet Flat from Theory Shoes-

All items from ShopBop.

Night Outfit:

Lewis Cho's baby doll dress is so pretty and perfect for a night out with your friends.

Accessorize with Giles & Brother's Multi Nail Head Cuff-

And for shoes, finish with Pedro Garcia's Julie Satin Pump with Crystal Buckle-

SUNDAY:

I like to hang out at the mall on Sundays (and Saturdays, but we already did that), so this is a good outfit for the mall.

The Ella Moss Exclusive Polka Dot Tunic from Barneys is really cute and casual.

Next, put on the AE Straight 77 Stretch Jean from American Eagle-

Some gold flats are a good finishing touch to the outfit, like the Metallic Pretty Ballets from Urban Outfitters-

I will be updating this feature every week, so check back!

  11. I love this! As a regular Seventeen reader, I must say I miss the "weeks worth of outfits" type layout they did for awhile.. every time I see that makeup thing, it's bordering on frustrating. I mean really, I think we can all figure out for ourselves, "You should wear more eyeliner on the weekends, and less when you are playing sports!".. but of course even that whole article is simply product placement. Grr, I miss useful features like *this*, and I love that every outfit is totally wearable. I made a rare bookmark add of this blog as soon as I saw it- I love it, keep it up! =)
