Betsey's Cleaned Up Her Act...

I was so surprised to see Betsey Johnson's Fall 2007 collection- it looked nothing like her normal bright colors, frills, and ruffles. It was toned down and much more mature. Although I was shocked, I still loved the collection. Here are some of my (many) favorites:



I love the sailor-nautical feel that this dress gives, with the navy and white color combination, collar, and side buttons. Paired with the white tights, it looks casual and cute.



So pretty! The soft ruffled skirt is so feminine, and the little capelet makes this look ready for nighttime.



Such a versatile shade of blue. This is such a simple dress, you can pair it with anything!



I looove this dress. The menswear-ish vest-like top with the billowy, feminine skirt is such a great juxtaposition, and the simple colors bring out the features of the dress.



I love all the volume in this dress, especially the sleeves. The color is fabulous, too.



I love the print and the length of this. Interesting neckline, too.



The shirt-dress is really hot right now, and Betsey does it great in beige and black. It kind of reminds me of vintage Chanel. This is a very elegant dress.



Ooh-so cute! I love the accordion pleats on the skirt and neckline!

I loved this collection, but I hope Betsey returns to her roots!

I loooove this sweater! The pink and gray look great together, and I love the bib-type thing on the front with the buttons. LOVE IT![Twinkle]



Yes, it's a little "out there", but I like this McQ by Alexander McQueen dress, a very nice fit into the nautical trend that is still going strong.



Ooh, quite funky, Ms. Malandrino. I love the cobalt blue color (I've been meaning to do a post on it...stay tuned) and the graphic printed skirt. The contrasting gray straps are nice as well.



COLORED JEANS! Sorry, I have an obsession... I love this deep red color [Rich & Skinny] and would look great with a fitted black tee.



I love this Diane Von Furstenberg dress. The flutter sleeves are gorgeous, and I love those colors in the leopard print. Ohhh....it's be-a-uuu-tiful.



These L.A.M.B. shorts are so cute! I love the colors and stripes- great for summer.

how great is this jacket- everything from the color to the swingy cut is fabulous. look at that gorgeous gathering at the back- beautiful.



i love this dress! the prettiest blush color, and i love the gathered bubble skirt and side bow. so cute!



a simple, sporty lbd that can be dressed up or down.



i love the color and very slight off-the-shoulder sleeves on this dress. the silhouette is very pretty, with a flawless execution and great cut.



I LOVE THIS DRESS! the crocheting and bow are so pretty, but the tank dress style makes it casual.



a great classic trench, love the pewter color. the detailing on this is amazing- the seams and buttons are gorgeous.

yes, kate moss again.

i know you've all heard of kate moss' topshop line. i was so excited for it, but i was pretty disappointed when it actually came out. there were some good pieces, but otherwise, there was not much to get excited for.



okay, not the must original thing in the world, but versatile and good for layering. >



great color, and i dig the buttons and birds. =] it would go great with above top over a fitted white tee. >



i'm not really feelin' this dress. too much stitching all over it.



eh....okay.



i really need a good vest, this is perfect.

wear the rainbow

first you could taste the rainbow, now....you can wear it.

i have changed my opinion on colored denim. i officially love it, and not just those habituals that i showed on my, like, 2nd post. here are my faves-



i really like jeans that are blue but not the normal washed blue color. i love the bleached around the thighs. totally wearable. at urbanoutfitters.com



combining the two things that i love- pink and skinny jeans. the pastel color is sweet, and can be unexpectedly toughened up with heavy jewelry and a menswear-ish jacket. i need these! at urbanoutfitters.com

it's my party and i'll dress awesome if i want to...

for no apparent reason, i have decided to do a post on party-ish dresses, even though the "party season" is over. oh well.



i am just...dying over how incredibly adorable this marc jacobs dress is. the gray mixed in with metallic, the ruffles, and the tulle make it so over-the-top, but still wearable. i need this dress.....it's $1000. ugh. whatever, this is just the cutest. love you, marc jacobs. you make the fashion world a better place.



this missoni dress is absolutely gorgeous. i love the rich blue color, cut-out trim at the bottom, and the beautiful black and white beading. this dress is just incredible. its beauttiiiffuuullllll......



this cacharel dress is gorgeous. it is a simple dress, but the elegant cream color and drapey shape make it something great. the luxurious fabric and one-shoulder are beautiful as well. i also adore the bubble hem.

a lot of people inspire me fashion-wise- here are some of the ones that i especially love.

she takes so many risks with her look- and always looks great. the first picture is the mixed-opinion gown that she wore to the golden globes this year. personally, i love it. it is chic and taking a fashion risk, and cameron obviously feels great in it. the next picture is a elegant, but sassy chanel dress that suits her perfectly. i think it looks great with her long legs.

yes, she does have some mishaps (below...), but most of the time mischa looks sophisticated and glamorous.



ok, i dont know what she was thinking on any of those, but...here are some better looks :-)




this is a gorgeous chloe dress- seen on many- gemma ward, nicky hilton and COPIED BY MARLA ON SEASON 2 OF PROJECT RUNWAY >:-(. mischa looks great in it, and the color is beautiful on her skin tone. mischa always finds good clothes to fit her tall frame.



this is simple, but chic and elegant. the tube dress is wonderful on her lanky build, and shows off her body in a good way.
